Nursery Class Teacher

 

Starting Date: January 2018

Part-time/Temporary 0.55 FTE contract (allows for paid PPA); fixed term until 31st August 2018 (in the first instance but with the possibility of a permanent contract)

Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale: £22,917 – £38,633, pro rata

 We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented teacher for the pupils in our Nursery class. An understanding of the importance of the Early Years to a child’s life-long learning is essential, and experience of Early Years is desirable. It is an opportunity to develop your own skills as you will led by an Oxfordshire Leader of Early Learning, and work with a talented Early Years Support Worker.

We are a vibrant, friendly school with delightful children, committed and hardworking staff, and supportive Governors and parents. In our most recent inspection we were judged by Ofsted to be a ‘Good’ school where “the school has high expectations of all pupils” and “Pupils have positive attitudes to learning”.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • provide creative, enriching, learning opportunities,
  • demonstrate high expectations of learning and behaviour
  • demonstrate an ability to nurture and support all pupils including those with complex learning, emotional or other needs
  • demonstrate good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • be able to work closely with colleagues as part of a friendly and supportive team
  • demonstrate a positive attitude towards continuing school improvement.

You will be expected to play a full part in the life of the school community and, as relevant to your level of experience, have the opportunity lead curriculum areas.
