After a smooth journey, the children were shown to their rooms and began the great duvet challenge! We met the Kilvrough team and after the general introductions and the successful fire drill it was lunchtime – homemade tomato soup and french bread followed by fruit.
Everyone participated in the various team building challenges, learning how to communicate effectively and problem solve. There was a little free time then dinner- sausage, beans and mash! There was chocolate pudding with custard afterwards.
The duty team did a great job of setting up and clearing away the dining room!
In the evening everyone had a go at “Nose to the Ground” orienteering, running around to find the clues in the dark.
We enjoyed hot chocolate and diary writing before heading off to bed!
Tomorrow we’re climbing and caving, on Wednesday climbing and caving, and on Thursday when the waves are larger, we’re body boarding and surfing.
We’re really pleased with how everyone has settled in!
