We’ve had another fabulous day – with sunshine too! Groups C and D went caving where they really tested themselves with all the different challenges and came out quite wet – but really proud of themselves. Mrs Taylor was posted through the letter box along with all the children! Group E were at Foxhole Bay; their day started with scrambling amongst the rocks before the abseiling down towards the sea as the tide came in! They faced their fears with everyone getting over the ledge and many going down – more than once in a number of cases. All groups showed great teamwork once again with communication skills improving all the time as they help one another. The climbers were also very dependent upon one another for belaying and instructions.
After dinner – a rather spicy chicken curry – we walked in the dark to Pennard Castle where the children sat quietly and were amazed by the stars. Poor Miss Markey had a bit of a mudbath as she (gracefully) slipped on the way back down! But there were plenty of willing helpers to pick her back up.
Our routine of hot chocolate before bed is successful and the children have been completing their diaries.
On Thursday we’re heading off to Caswell beach for surfing and body boarding which everyone is looking forward to and in the evening it will be time to pack and visit the shop!
