Long Furlong Election, 8th June 2017

posted in: Latest News, Year 5&6 News | 0

On 8th June the efforts of the country’s main political parties were put to shame as Year 6 at Long Furlong carried out their own election.  Four new parties fought it out on the election hustings and at the ballot box: Huracans, The Purple People, The Believers, and Change for the People.  Throughout the campaign our budding politicians exhibited respect for democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.  The winners were Change for the People, and we look forward to seeing their campaign promises come to fruition.
