Salary: Grade 4, points 11 – 13 (£8.19 – £8.55 per hour)
Hours: 10:00 am – 1:30 pm (17.5 hours per week)
Days needed: Monday – Friday, term time only
We require an enthusiastic, friendly person to join our successful school as an Assistant Cook. You should have the confidence and ability to support our Cook in all functions involved in the school catering operation, which include:
- planning menus
- preparing, cooking and serving food
- stock control
- maintaining the highest standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
- overseeing the work of Catering Assistants
You would be required to take over all these functions in the Cook’s absence, and lead other team members. You must be able to communicate effectively with young children and colleagues, and take an active part in encouraging pupils to make healthy, balanced food choices.
